BURN BAN **UPDATED**

SUMPTER UPDATE-09/16/25: Effective September 16, 2025 the fire status has been LOWERED. Recreational fires(fire pits/camp fire) and burn barrel fires are now permited with a burn permit and must be attended at all times. Ground/debris fires are NOT ALLOWED.
FIREWORKS: All fireworks are banned in the City of Sumpter. This includes state regulated and illegal fireworks. If you have any questions or need a burn permit please call the City Hall during regular business hours.
